# Cryoserver

Cryoserver is an Email Archive with advanced search capabilities. It is primarily aimed at on-premise deployments, though it can be used in small to medium sized hosted arrangements for multi-tenant usage.

There is a special cloud-only version called "**Solar Archive**", designed to support thousands of tenants in a reseller focussed model. Some documentation in this help guide may refer to functionality provided only in the Solar Archive, or which has changed from the original Cryoserver usage.  

This help guidance is being adjusted to give clarity between these different versions - as the UI and workflow is becoming quite different between Solar Archive and Cryoserver.
