# Cryoserver Cryoserver is an Email Archive with advanced search capabilities. It is primarily aimed at on-premise deployments, though it can be used in small to medium sized hosted arrangements for multi-tenant usage. There is a special cloud-only version called "**Solar Archive**", designed to support thousands of tenants in a reseller focussed model. Some documentation in this help guide may refer to functionality provided only in the Solar Archive, or which has changed from the original Cryoserver usage.
